Dental Hygiene Clinic

Pima's Dental Hygiene Clinic provides low cost dental services to the public - students, faculty, staff and the community are welcome!

At the clinic, dedicated dental hygiene students provide preventive services under the supervision of licensed dental hygienists and dentists.

The Pima Community College Dental Clinic provides limited preventative oral health services, including routine and periodontal dental hygiene treatment. We are not a full-service dental clinic.

Services are determined by your oral needs at the time of treatment.

The following preventative and oral hygiene services are available to both children and adults: 

  • Dental exam by licensed dentist
  • Patient needs assessments
    • Radiographs (As dictated by your oral health. You will get a copy of the x-rays)
    • Caries risk assessment
    • Dental, gingival and periodontal charting
    • Oral cancer examination
  • Therapeutic care
    • Prophylaxis (removal of plaque and deposits)
    • Periodontal debridement
  • Preventive care
    • Fluoride treatment
    • Smoking cessation program
    • Dental sealants
    • Nutritional counseling

Fees

All fees must be paid in full at the time of your service. They are approximate and subject to change. 

  • Routine Cleaning: $45.00
  • Periodontal Cleaning: $65.00
  • Child Cleaning (0-13 years): $20.00
  • Screening X-rays: $15.00-$25.00
  • Teeth Whitening*: $55.00
  • Sealants*: $15.00
  • Perio-therapies*: $20.00

*Only available for established patients.

Payment

Dental insurance is not accepted. The College accepts the following methods of payment:

  • American Express

Appointments

When you agree to be a patient, you're helping a student get one step closer to their goal of becoming a dental hygienist.

Please be prepared to be here as many times as is necessary for the student to complete your dental hygiene treatment. The average treatment takes 3-6 appointments. Appointments are 3.5 hours long.
