Dual Enrollment

Are you interested in earning college credit while still in high school? Through the Dual Enrollment program, eligible high school students can receive college credit for high school courses.

Dual enrollment courses are free and offered at your high school or joint technical education district (JTED) campus through a partnership with Pima Community College.

Benefits of Dual Enrollment

By taking a Pima dual enrollment course in high school, you can:

  • Earn college credit that you can put towards a college certificate or degree while you're still in high school
  • Take on fewer expenses and less college debt
  • Learn how to prepare for college
  • Improve your GPA while earning college credit
  • Gain confidence and motivation for college
  • Get ready to enter a competitive job market

Eligibility

To take a dual enrollment course, you must be in good academic standing based on your high school requirements .

Once your high school confirms you are enrolled as a full-time student, they can make a recommendation for you to take a dual enrollment course.

Not sure if you're eligible? The counseling staff at your high school can help you explore your interest in dual enrollment courses and/or a college program of study.
