At Connect U Orientation, you’ll explore Pima’s technology, academic programs, support resources, and campuses. You’ll also have the chance to build your class schedule and register for courses—getting a strong start on your college journey from day one!
What You’ll Learn at Connect U Orientation, you'll explore:
- How to navigate Pima’s technology, programs, and resources
- Support services available across Pima’s campuses
- How to stay on track with advising and financial aid
You are required to complete Connect U Orientation as a first-year student.
Connect U Orientation Sessions
You may complete Connect U Orientation one of three ways:
- Attend an in-person Connect U Orientation Session
- Attend a virtual Zoom Session
- Complete our online, self-paced version of Connect U Orientation in D2L
- Note: Course registration is only available during in person and zoom orientation sessions. If you choose the self-paced version, you'll need to register for classes separately afterward.

This interactive event will have you work closely with Program Advisors, Academic Success Counselors and Peer Mentors who are ready to share tips they learned from their own first year experience at Pima.
Meet other students, make new friends, enjoy fun activities, and earn some extra Pima treats!
Summer 2025 In-person CUO sessions
Sessions will be hosted on-campus or virtually via zoom. Please be aware that seats are limited for campus sessions. You will be sent a confirmation email within 24 hours/1 business day of signing-up for a session, and that message will include event details with room info (if that event is on-campus) or link to login (if that event is virtual).
In-person session dates: Check-in begins 30 minutes before the session start time. Presentations will begin promptly at the time listed.

- Log in to MyPima, go to the Dashboard, click the "Academics" bubble & select the option for "D2L."
- Select “Connect U Orientation” in your “MyCourses” section of D2L’s homepage.
- Click “Content” in the top right corner to explore the table of contents and watch an overview video of how to complete Online Connect U Orientation.
If you receive an error message when trying to access the D2L course, email PCC-FYE@pima.edu and provide your Full Name, A#, and briefly describe the issue.
