Land Acknowledgement

Pima Community College

Today’s event is taking place on the ancestral lands of the Tohono O’odham Nation and the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe, whose people have been living and working on this land since time immemorial.

This may be added:

It's one thing to acknowledge this fact, it’s another to recognize an on-going commitment and support. In this case, Pima played a key role in supporting the establishment of the Tohono O’odham community college and our on-going educational partnership with the Pasqua Yaqui tribe in areas such as Emergency Medical Technician and other Career Technical Education programs.
