College Updates

Submit a Pima Story Idea
The College wants to highlight the incredible achievements of our outstanding students and alums. We need your help! We want stories to inspire current and potential students, stories that deserve to be shared with our community. If you know of any inspiring success stories or remarkable accomplishments by our students or graduates, we would love to hear from you. Please take a moment to share your story ideas. Together let’s shine a spotlight on their achievements and highlight the diverse and remarkable journeys in our Pima community. If you have questions, contact Web Systems.

Annual Benefits Open Enrollment April 8-22
Open enrollment for the 2024-2025 benefits plan year is April 8-22. Benefits-eligible employees who want to make changes to their current benefits elections may do so through the Online Enrollment Portal - MyPima, @Work, Benefits Enrollment link, starting April 8 (early submissions will not be accepted).

This year’s enrollment will include onsite Benefit Fairs on April 10, at East Campus: 8-9:30 a.m., Desert Vista Campus: 10:30 a.m.-noon and Downtown Campus: 2-4 p.m.

Virtual one-on-one appointments will also be available throughout the duration of the enrollment period. Stay tuned! More information will be posted on the Employee Service Center Open Enrollment page. If you have any questions, contact the Employee Service Center, Benefits Team at esc-benefits@pima.edu or ext. 4945.

1095-C Forms to be distributed by Feb. 16
The IRS 1095-C form, Employer Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage, will be available electronically and mailed to College employees Feb. 14-16. The 1095-C form provides information for your records regarding employee and family health coverage for calendar year 2023, including those with health insurance waivers.

Opt-In to Receive Your 1095-C Electronically
The College is now offering the option to receive your tax documents electronically. To receive your 1095-C electronically, follow this Quick Reference Guide and opt-in by Feb. 13.

Employees who do not opt-in will be mailed a hard copy 1095-C to their current mailing address. Your consent to receive electronic tax statements will be valid for all subsequent tax years unless revoked by you or upon the end of your employment with the College. Once you opt-in, if you wish to rescind consent to receive electronic tax statements, follow the instructions on page three of this Quick Reference Guide. Withdrawn consent does not apply to previously issued tax forms. Please contact esc-benefits@pima.edu with any questions regarding the 1095-C form.

TLC Virtual Learning Community Book Event
The Teaching and Learning Center invites all employees to participate in a virtual learning community discussing Robin Wall Kimmerer’s book, “Braiding Sweetgrass!” Kimmerer, a Potawatomi researcher and scientist, describes the work as a “braid of stories” woven from “indigenous ways of knowing, scientific knowledge, and the story of an Anishinabeckwe scientist trying to bring them together in service to what matters most.” Register or contact pcc-tlc@pima.edu for more information.

Professional Development Opportunities: Teaching Innovation Project Proposals
