A Note to @PimaNews Readers
Because of the COVID-19 crisis, @PimaNews is highlighting recent COVID-19-related policy and procedure changes. The College will revise and update the information as the situation warrants. College leaders are committed to communicating with employees early and often during this uncertain time. However, they realize that the amount of information and details sometimes can be overwhelming.

Company Bill Statement Is Now Live
Company Bill Statement (CBS) is now live. The implementation of CBS is a very important step toward ensuring the timely posting of PCard transactions to cost center budgets as well as enhancing the means to reconcile the monthly payment of the credit card bill the College receives. Contact Graciela Domiguez with any questions.
College to Deploy Google Drive File Stream
In March, the College will begin deploying Google Drive File Stream to staff desktops (both PC and Mac). Google Drive File Stream is an application that makes it easier to access files and folders in your Google Drive and Shared Drive from the file explorer, folder and/or mapped drive on your computer. Unlike similar tools, Google Drive File Stream does not download all Google Drive files onto your computer. Rather, it streams the file directly from the cloud to your device when you need it. This avoids filling up the disk space on your device and causing network bandwidth issues. Additionally, you can mark files for offline use, and they will be synchronized with your Drive/Shared Drive when you reconnect to the Internet. For more information, see the Google Drive File Stream FAQ.
Library Textbook Support Options for Faculty and Students
The Library will scan faculty’s initial reading assignment if it has the textbook on Reserve to post in D2L as a stopgap while students wait for mailed copies. Alternatively, students can make an appointment with a scanner and the Reserve book at West Campus.
Library Research Award Winners
The 2020-21 Library Research Award winners are Samantha Barrera, Eva Kamenetska, Clinton Mackillop, Laura Redman, and Andrea Salazar Calderon. The award recognizes and rewards exemplary library research skills and information literacy. The winners receive up to 15 credits of tuition for the spring 2021 semester.
