In this 42-week, hands-on program (with courses year-round), you’ll learn how to spot hidden cracks, dents, and other flaws in solid materials — without damaging the parts — so they’re still safe to use. This kind of testing is important in keeping airplanes and other equipment working safely.

By finishing this certificate, you’ll complete the classroom and hands-on training needed for a NAS410 Level II certification in Penetrant Testing, a key industry standard. To officially get certified, you’ll also need to pass a test from your future employer.

Stand Out to Aviation Employers

By being certified in liquid penetrant testing, you show employers that you have  specialized skills within this NDT method. They know you have the talent to use specially formulated liquids to reveal surface discontinuities in solid and nonporous materials, commonly aluminium and titanium in the aviation industry.
