Aviation Technology

Associate of Applied Science

You can earn an Aviation Technology Associate of Applied Science degree by completing general education and the Aircraft Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certificate courses.

At Pima, you’ll train at one of the top aviation schools in the country. Classes run all year and take place in our expansive, high-tech Aviation Technology Center. You’ll get hands-on experience working on real aircraft — including Boeing 727s, regional jets and smaller general aviation planes. Airframe and Powerplant courses in this degree follow FAA-approved training (under Federal Aviation Regulations Part 147). That means once you graduate, you’ll be ready to take the tests to earn your FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification — and start working in the industry right away!
