Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award

The Pima Community College Diversity and Inclusion Awards acknowledge work in different areas throughout the College and community that brings us closer to creating a more just, equitable and inclusive community. These awards are given annually to individuals, organizations and departments that have demonstrated exemplary leadership, vision or service in promoting equity, diversity and inclusion, beyond their normal scope of work, in the following three categories:

  • The Leadership Award is presented to those who have demonstrated leadership in developing initiatives that have enhanced and furthered equity, diversity and inclusion goals and outcomes.
  • The Service Award is presented to those who have participated in or initiated diversity and inclusion-related work in areas including committees, community involvement and/or community outreach.
  • The Education Award is presented to those who have offered teaching, programming or activities designed to foster close equity gaps and promote inclusion.

Students, employees, and departments within the College as well as community members and organizations in Pima County are eligible to apply. Previous recipients are eligible for nomination every five years. Self-nominations are accepted.

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
