Starting a job search can come with all sorts of questions: where do I look for jobs? How can I get work experience in my program of study? How do I figure out what I want to do after I graduate? 

Pima offers a variety of tools and resources to help you plan your career, no matter what stage of the job search you're in. 

Career Planning

If you're not sure what profession or program of study you want to go into, career counselors can help you identify your skills and passions and develop a plan to pursue a career that works for you.

After you complete the assessments, explore Pima's Programs of StudyUndergraduate Majors and Degrees at the University of Arizona and career possibilities in the Occupational Outlook Handbook.

Pima also offers Student Success courses to help you explore career options.

If you need assistance choosing a career pathway or program of study after taking some initial exploration steps, fill out our contact form and a career counselor will contact you within four business days.

Program advisors can answer program-specific questions and offer guidance in completing your educational and professional goals.

Employer Engagement and Career Services (EECS) also offers several initiatives and grants to help you explore career options, including:

Find Internship and Job Opportunities


Explore MyCareerLink to search and apply for jobs and internships. MyCareerLink is a free career board that connects you to employers who want to hire Pima students and alumni.

Internship, full-time, part-time, apprenticeship and volunteer opportunities are listed on MyCareerLink. And, you can continue to use MyCareerLink for two years after graduation.

Work-Based Learning Opportunities

Work-based learning gives you the opportunity to put what you have learned at Pima into practice in real-world work environments. Through work based learning, you can:

  • Network with potential employers
  • Gain professional experience for your résumé and hands on experience in your chosen field
  • Develop new skills and make professional relationships

Practice Interview Skills

Big Interview

Big Interview is an online platform where you can practice your interviewing skills in a number of ways. Through Big Interview, you can:

  • Build answers to the most commonly asked interview questions
  • Find practice interview questions that are specific to your industry
  • Complete mock interviews that allow you to record yourself and get feedback on your answers
