Academic Honors, Military and Veteran Honors, and Phi Theta Kappa

Graduating with Academic Honors

You may be granted an honors designation if you are graduating with an Associate Degree, have completed 30 credit hours at Pima, and meet the grade point averages (GPAs) listed below.

  • 3.500 to 3.749 GPA = Graduation with Honors
  • 3.750 to 3.899 GPA = Graduation with High Honors
  • 3.900 to 4.000 GPA = Graduation with Highest Honors

These designations will be shown on your diploma and listed on your official transcripts.

Military and Veteran Honors

Active duty and military veteran graduation candidates can obtain military branch stoles/sashes. To obtain your military branch regalia contact your Veteran Advisor, visit the Veteran Center or other Veteran Space, or contact the main office at veterans@pima.edu.

Phi Theta Kappa

If you are a student member of Phi Theta Kappa and are walking in the commencement ceremony, you may purchase a stole, cord and/or tassel to wear at the ceremony. You may also visit the online PTK store.
