College Updates

Pima Earns National Sustainability Recognition
The College has earned the new Carnegie Elective Classification for Sustainability. Pima is one of only 14 institutions nationwide and one of just three community colleges to receive this inaugural recognition. Southern Arizona is the only region represented by three institutions, with Pima, the University of Arizona and Tohono O’odham Community College earning the classification. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of our community.

Help Us Share More Pima Student Stories
Pima’s marketing is putting real students front and center to showcase their unique Pima journeys and let their voices shine. If you know a student or alum who’d be a great fit, encourage them to fill out this short form! They can share as much about themselves as they’d like and let us know which marketing projects interest them. With your help, we can feature more students and highlight the wide range of academic paths, interests and goals that make our Pima community so diverse. If you have questions, contact marketing@pima.edu.

Marketing and AI Usage Policy
With the growing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create marketing materials, the College Marketing and Media Production offices are developing guidelines for its appropriate use.

Before creating flyers or other marketing materials, please consult with your marketing coordinator. They can assist with meeting your marketing needs in a way that maintains authenticity, meets ADA requirements and aligns with the College’s brand identity standards.

If you’re not sure who your marketing coordinator is, email marketing@pima.edu.

Your supervisor must email their approval to pcc-staffprofessionaldevelopment@pima.edu before your application can be reviewed. The FY27 application, eligibility requirements, guidelines and policies are available on the Organizational Effectiveness & Development page on MyPima, in the Employee section under Human Resources. If you have questions, email pcc-staffprofessionaldevelopment@pima.edu.
