Turn your passion for food into a career with Pima’s Culinary programs. Whether you dream of creating gourmet dishes, perfecting pastries, or managing a thriving food and beverage operation, you’ll get hands-on training in our Hospitality Leadership Center of Excellence — the hub for industry-best practices and real-world learning.

Train in state-of-the-art facilities, including a production kitchen, bakery and pastry kitchen, student-run Aztec grill, and catering services. Start small with certificate programs that interest you — bakery and pastry arts or cooking fundamentals— then build advanced skills in culinary techniques, baking and pastry arts, and restaurant leadership.

Alongside expert instruction from local industry professionals, you’ll gain real work experience through internships and on-campus operations.

Completing our Culinary program prepares you for a career as a chef or resort manager, or other roles in:

Certificate, Baking & Pastry Arts

Learn the fundamentals of the baking and pastry arts to step into entry-level work in a commercial bake shop or pastry kitchen. You’ll learn how to bake bread and create chocolate sensations, sweet confections, show pieces and plated desserts, as well as ice creams, Bavarians, mousses and sauces

In this program, you’ll learn the basics of cold foods, hot foods, baking, nutrition and safety and sanitation. You’ll also learn the critical skills of problem-solving, teamwork and communication.
