Pima Celebrates Veterans with Nov. 7 Ceremony

 Early Vets Day Program is Eighth Annual event for Pima

Tucson, AZ -- Pima Community College’s Downtown Campus is hosting an early Veterans Day Celebration and Resource Fair on Nov. 7.

  • When: 7, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown Campus, 1255 N. Stone Ave.
  • Cost: Event and parking are free

The program, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., includes speakers, entertainment, food, and recognition of local businesses that support veterans. The Downtown Campus is located at 1255 N. Stone Ave. The event, which will take place next to the historic Roosevelt building, is free and open to all.

“Every November, we take time as a nation to celebrate the many who have served in our armed forces. Pima Community College is proud be part of recognizing both our students and community members who have demonstrated their patriotism and selflessness through their willingness to serve,” said Campus President David Doré.

Veterans Day is Nov. 11 and honors all people who have served in the U.S. military, recognizing them for their love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. Pima is closed in observation of the holiday on Nov. 11.
