Nov. 13 - Chancellor's Update: COVID-19 Testing on PCC Campuses
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the College has partnered with Arizona State University and Pima County Health Department to provide drive-through COVID-19 testing at three of our campuses. The partnership extends from the Health Department’s current support of ASU testing at Ellie Towne Center in Flowing Wells.
Thanks to a grant received by the University, testing is free and available to anyone 5 years and older. The test is a saliva test.
The centers will operate once a week on a rotating basis at Desert Vista Campus, East Campus and West Campus. The College’s nursing program students and faculty will provide volunteer support, giving the students opportunities for clinical experience and community outreach. The College also will help with signage, security and traffic control.
Dr. Theresa Cullen, Director of the Pima County Health Department, praised the opportunity to be able to provide efficient, high volume testing, especially as COVID-19 cases increase in the region.
Participants must register prior to arrival. Other requirements and full details, including the registration link, are available here; scroll to “Drive Thru Testing.”
The testing locations, dates and times are:
