College Updates
Pima Women’s Basketball Wins National Title
Pima’s women’s basketball team won its first NJCAA Division II National Championship March 21, beating No. 6 Kirkwood Community College (IA) 64-58 in Hickory, North Carolina.
Read all about the championship game here on pimaaztecs.com.
Also on Saturday, the men’s basketball team finished fifth in the national tournament in Danville, Illinois, beating No. 1 Des Moines Area Community College.
Give Feedback on Proposed Tuition Waiver Revisions
Based on employee input, the All Employee Representative Council (AERC) proposes these revisions to the College’s Employee Handbook:
The revised policy will be posted for review and feedback through April 17 on the Employee Page in MyPima. Employees are encouraged to provide feedback using the Feedback Form, linked in the “Draft to Review” section.
Help Us Amplify Student Voices
Pima’s marketing is putting real students front and center to showcase their unique Pima journeys and let their voices shine. Know a student or alum who’d be a great fit? Encourage them to fill out this short form! They can share as much about themselves as they’d like and let us know which marketing projects interest them. With your help, we can feature more students and highlight the wide range of academic paths, interests and goals that make our Pima community so diverse. If you have questions, contact marketing@pima.edu.
Media Production Extends Turnaround Times
The College’s Media Production team is currently managing a high volume of requests during a period of staffing transition. As a result, turnaround times for new projects may be longer than usual, typically three weeks or more.
The team will make every effort to accommodate time-sensitive needs; however, expedited or rush requests cannot be guaranteed at this time. To help ensure the best possible support, we encourage you to submit detailed project requests as early as possible when planning upcoming work with specific deadlines.
If you have questions or would like guidance on timing or project planning, please email marketing@pima.edu.
Procurement Services Moves to eCatalog-Purchase
Procurement Services is transitioning to eCatalog-Purchase, a more modern and efficient web-based ordering platform designed specifically for Pima staff and faculty.
