Professional Licensure by State - Nebraska

PROVISIONAL TEACHING PERMIT FOR NEBRASKA CERTIFICATION – VALID FOR TWO YEARS This
Permit requires a Completed Teacher Education Program. Employment in a Nebraska school system is NOT required for this Permit. This Permit may be issued because of a deficiency in the Praxis –Core Academic Skills requirement, the Special Education Training requirement AND/OR the Regency requirement has NOT been met. This Permit expires on August 31 of the 2nd year following the year of issuance. This Permit IS NOT renewable.

The following is required for issuance of the Provisional Permit:

  • Completion of a baccalaureate degree AND
  • Completion of a teacher education program at a state approved teacher education institution AND
  • Human Relations Training requirement met with an official transcript of a preapproved course OR the written, verified narrative of your K-12 employment experiences for the six (6) skills.

Approval Status

Pima Community College’s Post Baccalaureate Teacher Education Program does not meet the academic requirements for initial certification.
