Rights & Responsibilities

Pima Community College (PCC) Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS) is dedicated to evaluating, calculating and disbursing funding to help you achieve your educational goals. When you accept financial aid, you certify and maintain the following information is true and correct:

  • All information provided is accurate. Including but not limited to information you provide in the admission application, enrollment activities, program information, course registration, information provided in the FAFSA or to the Department of Education. Providing false information may constitute fraud and result in legal penalties.
  • PCC will determine financial aid eligibility for PCC degree or certificate seeking students only. Only the courses that are required to complete the program of study will be considered when calculating your financial aid eligibility.
  • PCC provides information on the public website regarding: financial aid eligibility, satisfactory academic progress, payment deadlines, withdrawals, disbursements, and excess funds to be refunded.
  • Your information is up-to-date, including but not limited to: mailing address, phone number, email address, and emergency contact.
  • Financial aid awards are estimated based on information reported by the student, by various agencies, and data collected in student applications. Eligibility may change based on information received by PCC including changes in regulation; therefore, the financial aid initially shown to the student is subject to change at any point. Changes can occur year-to-year, semester to semester, within an enrollment period, and may differ from student to student. Some changes may create a balance after having received financial aid.
  • PCC reserves the right to adjust financial aid funding at any time due to changes in student eligibility.
  • The student is responsible to pay any outstanding charges at the end of each semester before registering for the next semester.
  • The student must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
