Due to unforeseen circumstances, all members of the Pima Community College (PCC) Governing Board will be attending the Board's March 8, 2023, Regular Meeting remotely. At the discretion of the Board Chair, PCC administrators and others making scheduled presentations to the Board may also be appearing remotely. Tonight's meeting will otherwise be conducted in a hybrid format as previously noticed, and members of the public may still attend in person at PCC's District Office, room C-105. During the "Public Comment-Call to the Audience" portion of tonight's meeting, public comments may still be made either remotely or in person. PCC staff will be on-site in room C-105 to assist members of the public attending in person who wish to address comments to the Board.

Part 65 - FAA Airframe and Powerplant Exam Prep

Enroll in the non-credit “Part 65 – FAA Airframe and Powerplant Exam Prep” course to review technical subjects and task performance required for the FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) written, oral, and practical exams.

Who should take this course?

Experienced mechanics with an approved FAA Form 8610-2, Airman Certificate and/or Rating Application. Individuals that have passed or are in the process of preparing for their written exams, and require assistance preparing for their oral and practical exams.

Course Content

20 subject area modules are included in the course. Students may select the specific oral and practical area modules needed to expand their knowledge in preparation for the test.

Instructors will provide individual and group coaching. If you need help in preparing for the written exams, ASA Prepare will be provided along with up to 16 hours of student guide review and discussion.

Cost

The cost for this course is $700. This program is approved for Air Force and Army COOL, and WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) funds.

Class Schedule

First 3 weeks for the course are instructor-led labs, last week is an open lab. All classes are held at PCC's Aviation Technology Center at 7211 S. Park Ave. Upcoming classes are listed below:
