Surgical Technology

Associate of Applied Science

In our two-year Surgical Technology Associate of Applied Science program, you’ll gain the skills and experience to become an essential part of any surgical team — from prepping a sterile operating room to assisting during complex procedures.

Train with experienced professionals in our state-of-the-art Health Professions Center of Excellence at West Campus. You’ll learn in Hyflex classrooms and a dedicated 1,780-square-foot mock operating room lab just for Surgical Technology students. You’ll also expand your knowledge of human anatomy, various types of surgeries, and the tools doctors use to operate. Your training also includes a clinical assignment in a real surgical environment, so you can graduate with hands-on experience.

By the end of the program, you will be well-prepared to take the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
