Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who can request a Digital Student ID?
All active students at Pima Community College can request a Digital Student ID. This includes in-person, online, ABECC, dual enrollment, and non-credit/workforce students.

2. How much does a Digital Student ID cost? 
Digital Student IDs are free to all active PCC students. The Touchnet 360u app is free to download. Physical ID cards will also be free.

3. How do I request a Digital Student ID? 
Students can request a Digital Student ID by following the instructions provided on the Pima Community College website

4. Why do I have to go through Single Sign-On (SSO) to access a Digital Student ID?
Single Sign-On (SSO) simplifies your login experience by allowing you to access multiple college systems and services with just one set of credentials. This streamlines the login process and enhances security by reducing the number of passwords you need to manage.

5. How will I know when my Digital Student ID is ready for use?
Our Virtual Services team will review your request for a Digital Student ID within 2-3 business days. Once the ID is issued, you will be able to access it at any time from the Touchnet 360u app. If your photo is not accepted, you will be sent an email to your MyPima student email account with instructions to resubmit your photo.

6. What if I don’t want a Digital Student ID?
A Digital Student ID is the preferred method of identification on campus. Physical IDs are currently not available and will be implemented towards the end of the Fall 2024 semester.

7. Can I have a Digital Student ID and a Physical ID?
Students will be issued either a Digital Student ID or a Physical ID card.

8. Who do I contact if I am having trouble requesting or accessing my Digital Student ID?
If you are having trouble downloading the Touchnet 360u app, uploading a photo, or receive an error message when logging into the Touchnet 360u app, please contact 520-206-4500 or pcc-studentID@pima.edu for assistance. 

9. Can I use the Digital Student ID for identity verification?
The Digital Student ID can be used for identification purposes on campus in the Student Service Center, library, bookstore, cafe, testing center, learning center, fitness center, and Proscenium Theatre. It is not recognized as an official form of government identification.

10. What if I can’t access features on the Touchnet 360u app?
Not all features in the app are active. At this time, only the Digital Student ID feature is available.

11. How long is my Digital Student ID valid?
Your Digital Student ID is valid as long as you have an active status in your student record.

12. What if my student record is inactive?
If your student record is inactive, you will need to reapply to Pima Community College, by completing a new admissions application, prior to requesting a Digital ID Card.

13. Can I use my chosen name on my Digital Student ID?
The College recognizes that many members of our community use chosen names to identify themselves. At this time, we are unable to include chosen names on the Digital Student ID. We are working diligently to provide this option in the near future.

14. How will my photo be stored?
Your photo will be stored in the Touchnet 360u app. If you no longer wish to use the Digital Student ID, you may delete the app from your device.

15. Do I need to renew my Digital Student ID each semester?
No. The Digital Student ID will remain valid as long as you have an active student record.

16. Can I use my Digital Student ID for discounts?
Yes, you can use your Digital ID for student discounts wherever they are accepted.

17. Will I still have access to my Digital Student ID once I graduate?
Yes, you will have access to your Digital ID as long as your student record is active. Your student record remains active for three semesters after you graduate.

18. Can staff or faculty obtain a Digital Student ID?
Yes, if staff or faculty have an active student record, they may request a Digital ID.
