PREPARE FOR COMMENCEMENT DAY
If you graduated in summer or fall 2023 or will be graduating in spring or summer 2024, you are welcome to participate in the ceremony
- It is free to participate, but required cap and gown must be purchased (details below)
- No RSVP
- No rehearsal
Please, be aware of the details of Tucson Convention Center’s clear bag policy listed on their webpage. You can also find information about parking and other frequently asked questions there.
For liability reasons, silly string, vuvuzelas, air horns and other noisemakers are not allowed in TCC facilities. This applies to graduates as well as their guests.
Though the deadline for online orders for your cap, gown and mementoes has passed, you may purchase them at a campus bookstore. Also, a limited number of caps and gowns will be on sale the night of Commencement, during check-in at the Tucson Convention Center.
Cap and Gown Cost: approximately $47.95, plus tax
Honors Stole: $22, plus tax

Part of the tradition of Multicultural Convocation is connecting to our heritage and roots; this is usually achieved by alumni sharing their experiences, passing down knowledge through storytelling, and honoring graduates by awarding diversity stoles.
This free event for graduates and their families and friends includes a variety of foods and entertainment.
