With his capstone film, "Attention Seekers," recent Digital Film Arts graduate and aspiring director Rashad Hitz fuses the creative vision and technical skills honed during his time in the Digital Film Arts and Animation program at Pima Community College.

From writing the script and assembling complex camera rigs on-site to overseeing live production sets with all their logistical complexities, Rashad’s experience highlights the practical training at the heart of the curriculum, which provides real-world opportunities for students to engage with every aspect of the film industry from script to screen.

At first, Rashad chose Pima for the General Education courses, intending to transfer. After discovering the Film program and its vibrant community, he decided to pursue his AAS here at Pima. Now a recent graduate, Rashad is leaving Pima equipped with a strong portfolio, the guidance of faculty mentors, and a network of collaborators and peers.
