Applied Technology Academy - Quality Assurance Program

The Quality Assurance program in the Applied Technology Academy is a hands-on course that focuses on the skills that are necessary for a Quality Assurance Inspector. This includes an introduction to quality systems, inspection processes for tools and equipment, and tolerancing. The course will support a maximum of 12 students.

This is a noncredit program.

The program is aligned with the NC3 Precision Measurement certificate. Once a participant has completed this program they will have the opportunity to sit of the proctored NC3 exam. In order to be considered a completer in the program, participants must have a final score of 80% or higher (and completed required sections of NC3.)

Program Learning Outcomes:

  1. Describe ISO, ASQ, and similar quality systems and how they drive the industry.
  2. Demonstrate basic skills needed (i.e., mathematics, Excel, blueprint/drawing and tolerances, inspection tools) to obtain an entry-level Quality Inspector position.
