Pima’s Teen Scene classes prepare teenagers and young adults for their first job, test preparation, college entrance, evaluating career options, and choosing a healthy lifestyle. We have classes for teens interested in Video Game Making and Programming, intended for artists, designers and hobbyists. In these classes, teens will learn to create video games and create graphic animations. New this year we are offering Coding classes, Minecraft Modders, Computer, Animation, Teen Baking Academy and many more. Don't forget Zombie Apocalypse where students will learn how to be prepared for all kinds of emergencies and Architecture where students will learn about sustainable growth and planning of buildings and communities. Check out our catalog to make sure you don't miss any of our exciting spring or summer classes.
Prepare for the unexpected. Standard first aid isn't always an option when time and access to 911 isn't an option. Students are taught the basics of how to assess and treat an injured or ill person when emergency response is not readily available. Topics include heat and cold related injuries, bites/stings, burns/blisters, lightning safety, orthopedic injury, treatment principles and techniques. Emphasis is placed on hands-on activities as opposed to lecture.
YA 650:Alive at 25: Driver Safety Training
This highly interactive course helps young drivers under the age of 25 to take greater responsibility for their driving by focusing on behavior, judgment and decision making. This course is an excellent complement to national driver training programs that traditionally focus on state laws and vehicle and road handling.
Classes are available year-round with options for online or classroom learning.
