Volunteer for Adult Education

Adult Education offers many opportunities for you to work as volunteer tutors, classroom aides or as support staff. As a volunteer, you will find that the benefits you reap are as valuable as your guidance is to the students you assist. Volunteers are primarily used as tutors in math, writing, citizenship or ELAA.

AmeriCorps Program

The Pima Adult and Family Literacy Corps (PAFLC) is an AmeriCorps program where members serve in our Adult Education Learning Centers and Family Literacy Sites. AmeriCorps members gain valuable work skills, earn money for education, and develop an appreciation for the spirit of service. AmeriCorps members assist staff, tutor students, and create service learning projects. AmeriCorps members are eligible for a modest living stipend while serving and benefit from an educational award upon completion of service. Learn more about the AmeriCorps Program.
