PCC Athletics Sept. 2-8

The fall sports for Pima Community College Athletics continues as the volleyball team play four matches this week. The soccer teams split time between the road and Kino. The cross country teams kick off their season in Flagstaff and the baseball and softball teams continue their fall scrimmage schedules.

The volleyball team is in Thatcher, AZ on Monday as they play two non-conference matches. They’ll face off with Utah State University-Eastern at 1:00 p.m. and close out the day against Eastern Arizona College at 5:00 p.m.

The volleyball team will get back to ACCAC conference play on Wednesday when they play at Mesa Community College. First serve is at 7:00 p.m.

The women’s and men’s soccer teams are back at Kino North Stadium on Thursdaywhen they host GateWay Community College. The women’s game is at 4:30 p.m. and the men’s game will follow at 7:00 p.m.

The volleyball team will host a non-conference match against the College of Southern Nevada on Friday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. First serve is at 11:00 a.m.

The baseball team will play two scrimmages on Saturday against GateWay Community College at the West Campus Aztec Baseball Field. The first game starts at 10:00 a.m.

The softball team will host a pair of fall scrimmages at the West Campus Aztec Softball Field on Saturday against Team Velocity. The first game will be at 10:00 a.m.

The men’s and women’s cross country teams will open the 2019 season on Saturday when they compete in the George Kyte Invitational held at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff. The men’s race will be at 1:30 p.m. and the women’s race will follow at 2:30 p.m.

The soccer teams return to Kino North Stadium on Saturday when they host South Mountain Community College in ACCAC conference match-ups. The women’s game will be at 4:30 p.m. and the men’s game will follow at 7:00 p.m.
