Explore PCC's Emergency Medical Technology program and learn how it can lead to a great career in public safety.
Attend an information session to learn about program eligibility, requirements, costs and more. Anyone interested in pursuing a career in pre-hospital emergency medical services is required to attend an information session before meeting with a Student Services Center advisor.
No reservations are needed.
The program is approved by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services toward certification as an EMT in the State of Arizona. Those completing the program are prepared to take the Arizona and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians exams to qualify for work as an emergency medical technician. From there, certified EMTs may continue studies by taking classes toward an Associate of Applied Science in EMT-Paramedic.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of EMTs is expected to grow 15 percent nationally, much faster than the average for all occupations, through 2026.
