Financial Aid Orientation

All financial aid recipients must attend a yearly financial aid orientation in order to receive their disbursements of aid. The Financial Aid Orientation information provided is based on Federal regulations that change every year.

2014-2015 Orientation is now closed.

2015-2016 Orientation covers enrollment periods from August 2015 - July 2016.

To sign-up for Financial Aid Orientation:

  1. You must RSVP to reserve your seat. Log into your MyPima account and use the "In-person Financial Aid Workshop calendar" on the Financial Aid tab to choose a time and location that is convenient for you.

  2. Select the "register" icon associated with your preferred date and time to complete and submit the registration information.  Need help registering? Contact Financial Aid.

  3. Be sure to arrive early and bring a photo ID, your student ID number, paper and a pen/pencil with you.  If you arrive after the presentation has started, you will need to reschedule.

  4. If your plans change, be sure to cancel your reservation by following the cancellation directions on your confirmation email.  Failure to cancel your original reservation, will prevent you from signing up for another session.

Unable to attend a session in person?

You will gain the most information if you attend in person.  Sessions are available at a variety of times and locations, but the Financial Aid Office understands that not every student has the ability to visit a campus. If you are in this situation, you can view a presentation and submit your quiz results online to earn credit.

Directions for taking the orientation online:

  1. Download the 2015-16 Financial Aid Orientation Study-Guide, which serves as the quiz outline with the questions that you will need to answer upon completion of the presentation.

  2. Use the guide to answer the quiz questions while viewing the 2015-16 Online Presentation[accessible version - MSWord]

  3. After watching the presentation you will submit the answers that you record on your Study Guide through MyPima, on the Financial Aid tab: click on Financial Aid Award, select 2015-16, click on the Resources/Additional Information tab, then select the sequence of answers that matches the answers in your Study Guide.

Our office will not accept a copy of the completed Study Guide to satisfy your Financial Aid Orientation requirement.  A score of 100% is needed.  Your red flag will be updated within 24 hours to reflect whether or not you answered the question correctly.
