Metallica Scholars Initiative
Pima Community College is proud to be selected as one of the community colleges across the nation to receive a $100,000 grant from All Within My Hands (AWMH) as part of the Metallica Scholars Initiative.
AWMH is a nonprofit organization founded by members of the legendary rock band Metallica and is dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting the importance of career and technical education.
In partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), the Metallica Scholars Initiative provides up to $3,000 to pay for tuition, fees, textbooks and supplies for students enrolled in a level I or level II certificate or an associate of applied science degree in:
- Building and Construction
- HVAC
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Automotive
- IT/Cyber Security
- Automated Industrial Technology.
- Aviation Technology
- Computer-Aided Design
- Machine Tool Technology
- Welding
Metallica Scholars also receive comprehensive career services and work-based learning opportunities.
