Draft Administrative Procedures Available for 21-day Review

W-2 Forms Mailed Jan. 25
The IRS W-2 forms for 2022 were mailed to employees on Jan. 25. To access a copy, log into MyPima and  go to Employee>@Work>Banner Self Service>Employee>Tax Forms. If you have questions, contact the Employee Service Center Payroll Team, esc-payroll@pima.edu or 520-206-4945.

1095-C Forms to be Mailed by Feb. 10
The IRS 1095-C form, Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage, will be mailed to College employees on or before Feb. 10. The 1095-C form provides information for you and your family members who had health coverage, including those with health insurance waivers, for one or more months during the calendar year 2022. Forms will be mailed to your current address on file. If you have questions, contact the Employee Service Center Benefits Team, esc-benefits@pima.edu or 520-206-4945. 

Benefits Open Enrollment is April 3-17
Open enrollment for the 2023-2024 benefits plan year is April 3-17. Beginning April 3, benefits-eligible employees who want to make changes to their current benefits elections may do so via MyPima>@Work>Benefits Enrollment. Early submissions will not be accepted. You cannot make changes to your benefits plan outside of open enrollment unless you have a qualifying life event. Throughout the enrollment period, virtual one-on-one appointments will be available for employees to ask questions. More information on open enrollment will be posted on the Employee Service Center Intranet page. Volunteer at Pima’s Info Table at Tucson Festival of Books
Pima will have an information table set up at the Tucson Festival of Books at the University of Arizona Mall on March 4-5. If you would like to volunteer at the table to share information about the College and/or your program, or, if you are a book author and want to promote your book, sign up here.

Black History Month Activities Open to All
Join Pima Student Life in celebrating Black History Month in February. Here are some of the activities:

Feb. 9: 12-1:15 p.m.: Power of Black Resilience, West Campus Cafeteria

  • Hear stories of what it takes to be successful personally and professionally as a person of color.
  • Hear life stories and advice from Pima and Tucson community members.

Feb. 16: 12-2 p.m.: Resilience Fair, Downtown Campus

  • Learn about local Black-owned businesses, organizations and nonprofits!

Feb. 21: “Wakanda Forever” special screenings, various times, all campuses 

Feb. 21: “Wakanda Forever” Virtual Discussion, 3-4 p.m. on Zoom

  • Treya T. Allen, Ed.D., African American Studies adjunct faculty, leads a discussion about the epic movie

Therapeutic Massage Appointments Available Through March 17
The Northwest Campus Massage Clinic, Room A211, is offering quality massage services to staff, students and the public on Fridays through March 17. A 50-minute massage is $20 for Pima employees and students with a Pima ID, and $30 for members of the public. Appointments are available at 12:30 p.m. or 1:35 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 520-206-2062. Prepayment is required.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test in the previous 24 hours is required. Therapeutic Massage is not appropriate for anyone with serious or uncontrolled medical conditions, contagious illness or fever, or for women who are pregnant. Employees Encouraged to Enroll in Fitness Classes
Pima employees are encouraged to register for access to College fitness centers and group fitness classes.

Taking FAW100 gives you access to a variety of group fitness classes each week, including in-person classes at West and East campuses, as well as virtual options. Group fitness classes may vary each semester but can include Yoga, Belly Dance, Cardio Cross-Training, Strength and Flexibility, and Zumba.

Volunteer for Career Café, Earn Professional Development Credit
Pima First Year Experience is seeking College employees to volunteer for one of its spring semester Career Café events. Volunteers are needed for these events:

  • Feb. 28, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Downtown Campus
  • March 14, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Northwest Campus 
  • April 18, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., East Campus 

Students can enjoy free coffee while visiting our tables to get tips on Résumés, Cover Letters and Interviewing, and learn about Pima’s Career Resources and student jobs. Volunteers earn professional development credits. Table supplies are provided.

OSHA 300a Summarizes Employee Illnesses, Injuries
Under federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, the OSHA 300a summary for Pima in 2022 is available online, and is posted at each physical campus/location. The 300a summarizes Pima employee illnesses and injuries reported in 2022.

Nominate Outstanding Student-employees
The College’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships Work Study Program staff are seeking nominations for student employees showing exemplary performance.

All student-employees (not only those on Federal Work Study) are eligible. You may nominate more than one student-employee.

The program will select those to award a monetary benefit, but all nominees will be recognized in some way.

If you have questions about the multi-factor authentication (MFA) that the College has adopted, see the FAQ. With the MFA, after you use your username and password to log into the College system on your browser, you will be prompted to enter a code available through the Duo Mobile smartphone app. You must download the app.

Learn About AERC and Get Involved
Pima’s All-Employee Representative Council (AERC) is a group of representatives from all employee classifications serving two-year terms. AERC meets monthly, and reviews and updates policies and finds solutions to matters affecting work conditions. Visit the AERC Intranet Page for more information. General meetings are open to all employees. Submit questions or concerns to any member or to the online comment box.

‘Joseph DiGiorgio’s The Grand Canyon’ Reception Is Feb. 9 at Bernal Gallery
The reception for “The American Landscape: An Endangered Species, Joseph DiGiorgio’s The Grand Canyon” at the Louis Carlos Bernal Gallery is 5-7 p.m. Feb. 9, with a 6 p.m. lecture by Tucson Museum of Arts’ chief curator Julie Sasse, Ph.D. The exhibit is a unique 360-degree experience and the gallery’s first collaboration with TMA. The exhibit, a 24-panel oil on canvas painting created in pointillistic style (1985), is in conjunction with Pima Theater’s “Sunday in the Park with George.” 

Works by Founding Pima Art Instructors Shown Feb. 13-March 24
Feb. 13-March 24, the Visual Arts Gallery will host an exhibit of works by two of Pima’s founding Visual Art Department faculty, the late Darla Masterson and the late Phillip Bellomo. Masterson was Head of Visual Arts and started the Printmaking Department. Bellomo was one of the first Ceramics faculty and helped develop that department. Family and friends loaned works for the exhibit. A reception will be 2-4 p.m. Feb. 15.

Pima Theater Presents "Sunday in the Park with George," March 2-12
For its annual Spring musical, Pima Theater, directed by Chris Will, performs "Sunday in the Park with George," with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The story follows struggling painter George Seurat in the time leading up to the making of his famous painting, “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.” This show is in conjunction with the Bernal Gallery’s “The American Landscape: An Endangered Species - Joseph DiGiorgio’s The Grand Canyon.” Tickets are $15; $10 Pima Employees/Seniors/Military/Groups. Pima students get one ticket free.

  • Aging Parents: Finding the Right Care webinar: Get the tools you need now to prepare for helping your parents as they grow older. 
  • Supermarket Survival webinar: Learn how to navigate the supermarket to select healthy and nutritious foods.
  • Telecoaching: In a 30-minute, one-on-one appointment, get advice on nutrition, fitness, self-care, stress and disease management, and financial guidance.

Employees also are encouraged to visit the Employee Wellness website for additional resources, news and information on the Pima Healthy Rewards Program and wellness-related activities that qualify for Pima Wellness Activity points. You also can keep current on the latest wellness news.
