College Updates

New Arizona Income Tax Withholding Rate Options
Arizona income tax withholding rate options are changing effective January 2023. Employees should designate their new desired withholding rate via Banner Online Self-Service. Employees who do not designate a new rate will have their Arizona taxes withheld at the default withholding rate of 2%. For detailed instructions, please see the Quick Reference Guide: How to Update Your AZ Tax Withholding Rate. If you have any questions, please reach out to esc-payroll@pima.edu.

Employees Can Do macOS Upgrades Via Self-Service
Pima IT staff are upgrading College desktops and laptops from macOS Catalina (10.15) to macOS Monterey (12.0) or macOS Ventura (13.0), depending on hardware compatibility. These upgrades are available in Self-Service. You do not have to bring in your device to be upgraded; you can do this at home or on campus. Once you have started the upgrade it can take some time to complete, depending on the speed of your Internet connection. If you have questions, create an IT Support ticket in TeamDynamix or call the IT Service Desk, 520-206-4900.

West Campus Printer Optimization Begins Jan. 23
Starting Jan. 23, the West Campus IT team is implementing IT’s printer optimization plan, which involves removing redundant printers, replacing older printers and consolidating remaining printers. For some staff, these changes may make your default printer unavailable. In those cases, you can use PrinterLogic to find the nearest printer and select it as your new default printer. Learn more from the Knowledge Base about PrinterLogic on Windows or PrinterLogic on MacOS.

Nominate Outstanding Student-employees
The College’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships Work Study Program staff are seeking nominations for student employees showing exemplary performance.

All student-employees (not only those on Federal Work Study) are eligible. You may nominate more than one student-employee.

The program will select those to award a monetary benefit, but all nominees will be recognized in some way.

Complete this form fully for each nomination. If you have any questions, please contact fws@pima.edu.

See FAQ for Multi-factor Authentication Questions
If you have questions about the multi-factor authentication (MFA) that the College has adopted, see the FAQ. With the MFA, after you use your username and password to log into the College system on your browser, you will be prompted to enter a code available through the Duo Mobile smartphone app. You must download the app.

New AERC Members
Pima’s All-Employee Representative Council (AERC) has new members. Visit the AERC Intranet Page for more information. AERC reviews and updates policies and finds solutions to matters affecting work conditions. General meetings are open to all employees. Submit questions or concerns to any member or to the online comment box.
