College Updates

Pima Night at ZooLights Returns Dec. 9
Pima invites employees, students, alumni and their families, as well as Pima Foundation members and their families to Pima Night at ZooLights Dec. 9.

Pima Night at ZooLights is 6-8 p.m. Dec. 9. Admission is $5 for ages 6 and older and free for children 5 and younger. Buy your tickets online and present your confirmation email at the door for admission. All sales are final. Admission covers holiday entertainment, and hot cocoa and holiday treats (while supplies last).

This event coincides with Reid Park Zoo’s public ZooLights event, so Pima guests must enter at the zoo’s east side exit – follow the Pima directional signs. ZooLights features light displays and animal-themed light sculptures throughout the zoo. Zoo animals are off exhibit for the event.

To request an accommodation to participate in this event, contact the Employee Service Center, 520-206-4945. If you have questions email College Events.

Starting in early December, after using a browser to log into a College system by entering your username and password, you will be prompted to enter a code. The Duo Mobile smartphone app is the simplest and most secure way to enter the code. To prepare, download the app now. If you have questions, see the FAQ.

Printer Optimization Begins at Multiple College Locations
Northwest Campus IT has begun implementing printer optimization. And starting Nov. 21, IT teams will begin implementing printer optimization at Desert Vista Campus, the Maintenance and Security office, Aviation Technology Center, and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, El Rio and El Pueblo Liberty centers. This involves removing redundant printers, replacing older printers and consolidating remaining printers. For staff at these locations, changes may make your default printer unavailable. In such cases, you can use PrinterLogic to find the nearest printer and select it as your new default printer. Learn more from the Knowledge Base about PrinterLogic on Windows or PrinterLogic on MacOS.

Administrative Procedures Updates
The following items have been posted as minor updates and will be posted for 21 days. Public comments are not accepted for minor updates (AP 1.01.02, Section 2.3).

AP 3.46.02:  Disability Documentation Requirements: Establishment of Eligibility for Services under ADA/Section 504

AP 8.01.02:  Facilities Security and Access Control

Pima Reports Upgrade
IT is upgrading the College’s Pima Reports (Business Objects system) to version 4.3 with the help of ASR Consultants. This upgrade will bring noticeable design and functionality changes. It provides great new visualization options along with easy-to-use features.

To get you started, a pdf (Scheduling Crystal Reports V.4.3) is posted on the Intranet/MyPima site (Intranet/Strategy, Analytics and Research/Pima Reports). It gives step-by-step instructions on how to schedule reports. StAR also set up quick training sessions called Pima Reports Fundamentals (FY23) through Organizational Effectiveness and Development (OED) in MyCareerCenter. Check the dates and sign up for a session to learn more about how to schedule Pima Reports. These sessions will be recorded as well.

Review the pdf or sign up for a quick training session before the expected upgrade tentatively takes place Nov. 18. If you have questions about the upgrade, Pima Reports or College data, email StAR.
