College Updates

See You at All College Day
See you at 2022 All College Day festivities, whether in-person or online.

The hybrid event, All College Day: Pima Glows Up, starts with check-in and fun activities at 8 a.m., Friday, at Aztec Gymnasium, West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road. You may attend in-person or watch the livestream on the PCCTV YouTube channel. After the morning program, there will be a BBQ lunch in the Palm Courtyard, giving you plenty of time before the afternoon sessions. The College will remain open Aug. 19. Supervisors, please, work with your employees to ensure day-to-day operations are covered.

macOS Upgrades
Pima IT staff are upgrading College desktops and laptops from macOS Catalina (10.15) to macOS Big Sur (11.0) or macOS Monterey (12.0), depending on hardware compatibility. These upgrades are available in Self Service. This can be done at home or on campus. Once you have started the upgrade, this can take some time depending on internet speed. If you have questions, create an IT Support ticket in TeamDynamix or call the IT Service Desk at 520-206-4900.

All Tutor Day Fall 2022 Today
Pima’s Campus Learning Centers are holding their biannual All Tutor Day (ATD) event today until 1 p.m. at the Desert Vista Campus in the community room, F-123, with a hybrid option! This event gives tutors from across the College a chance to meet and prepare for the upcoming semester. For more information, please contact pcc-tutoring@pima.edu.

Release of Concur Next Generation User Interface (NextGen UI)
SAP will be releasing the NextGen UI to all Pima employees on Oct. 1.The NextGen UI for Concur will provide a more intuitive, integrated and efficient experience for submitting requests and expenses. Travel Services will be offering demos specific to the NextGen UI Aug. 22-Sept. 30. We also will offer training from October through December. Web Intelligence Interactive Reports Training

Adult Education for College and Career Update
New student registration for Adult Education classes should now be directed to one of our three Adult Education Learning Centers. Interested students can call 520-206-7330 to speak with a Student Services representative or visit the website to learn more about the Learning Center locations and hours.

Staff Professional Development Funds Applications for Exempt and Nonexempt Employees
The Staff Professional Development (SPD) Working Group is accepting Professional Development/Educational Funds applications for fiscal year 2023 (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023) for eligible regular full-time nonexempt and exempt employees. You also can keep current on the latest wellness news.
