Individuals with disabilities may request accommodations, through ADR, for access to classes, programs, employment, and activities. Students, employees, and community members may request accommodations by contacting ADR at 520-206-6688 or ADRhelp@pima.edu or, visiting any campus ADR office. Students may also request services by completing the ADR online application.
An ADR Program Specialist determines each person’s need for the specific accommodation requested through discussions with the individual and, as necessary, faculty, supervisors, and staff.

Examples of accommodations that may be approved include:
- Alternative format text, such as e-text, electronic handouts, and Braille
- Alternative testing arrangements, such as extended time, a quiet location, use of access technologies and alternatively formatted material
- Access technology, such as voice recognition, text-to-speech software, magnification software, calculators, and spell checkers
- Classroom/workplace access, such as furniture, amplification, closed captioning, real-time transcription, interpreting, note taking support and preferential seating
Other accommodations may also be available, based on individual needs and barriers encountered in accessing PCC activities, services, and programs. Individuals should be prepared to discuss the barriers they encounter and suggest ways to reduce or eliminate them. Service animals trained to perform specific tasks for an individual with a disability do not require ADR approval for students and community members. Employees who need to use a service animal at work must contact ADR.
