PCC Football Falls at No. 9 Snow College

 Tucson, AZ – The football team (1-6) took on a few occasions in the first half but lost to No. 9 Snow College 45-14 on Saturday in Ephraim, UT. Snow College scored 36 unanswered points.

Quarterback Max Shepherd (Sunrise Mountain HS) got the Aztecs on the board in the first quarter with a 45-yard touchdown run and after Adam Valenzuela’s (Cienega HS) extra-point, the Aztecs led 7-0. In the second quarter, Shepherd found Spencer Grijalva (Douglas HS) in the end zone for a 1-yard touchdown reception which gave Pima a 14-9 lead. Shepherd had 77-yards passing and 50-yards rushing for the game.

On defense, Lopeti Fonokalafi (Kaiser HS), Maurice Chavis (Sabino HS) and Devonttay Jones (Santa Rita HS) each had a sack and Mikell Everette (Kentwood HS) had his third interception of the year.
