What is an Internship?
Pima offers credit courses in which students work with employers or agencies within their field of study to apply knowledge already learned in the classroom.
Courses provide flexibility in hours of work and types of programs.
Employer Information and Instructions
- Review the Internship FAQs and the Responsibilities for Students, Employers and Faculty before requesting to list an internship.
- All hiring and compensation terms for internships are handled directly between intern applicants and employers.
- We do not prescreen applicants, perform background checks on applicants or make any particular recommendations regarding potential interns.
- All internships are listed at the discretion of Career Services.
Unacceptable Internship Listings
We do not accept listings for self-employment positions, modeling jobs or by third-party recruiters for undisclosed employers.
We do not accept listings for opportunities that require individuals to purchase anything from or pay a fee to any organization associated with the internship.
Career Services does not list internships that appear to discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, gender, color, religion, age, national origin, disability, Vietnam Era or special disabled veteran status or sexual orientation.
Privacy Policies and User Agreements
Prior to listing an internship, employers will be asked to agree to certain practices regarding privacy, acceptable use, and responsibilities.
Students and alumni also have a user agreement that must be agreed to prior to using the MyCareerLink system.
