Biology Concentration

Associate of Arts

An Associate of Science degree has replaced the Biology Concentration - Associate of Arts at Pima Community College. Therefore, the Biology concentration was inactivated and no longer accepts new students. Instead, all biology courses now fall under the Associate of Science degree. These courses will provide you with the knowledge and tools to leave Pima prepared to pursue a biology degree at a bachelor’s degree-granting university. If you have any questions regarding this program, please see an advisor.

Prepare to transfer to a university in a biological science by taking foundational courses in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.

This program is designed for transfer to ASU, NAU or another university that does not require calculus or second language to complete a bachelor’s degree in biology-related disciplines.  Students transferring to the UA or to a university that requires calculus or a second language should complete the Associate of Science.
