Notice of Availability of Institutional and Financial Aid Information to Enrolled Students

In compliance with federal law, Pima Community College annually distributes to each enrolled student a notice of the availability of the information that is required to be made available to students under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) and for Consumer Information under HEA Sec. 485(a)(1), Sec. 485(f), Sec. 485(g), [Sec. 485(h)] and Sec.485(j) and as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA).

The notice is sent to student PCC email addresses.

The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA) requires that postsecondary institutions participating in federal student aid programs make certain disclosures to students. The following information is disclosed to you as a student at Pima Community College, in compliance with federal law and other law.

Privacy of Student Records - Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Provides information on the federal law that gives students the right to review their educational records, to request amendment of their records, to consent to disclosures of personally identifiable information, and to file complaints with the Department of Education.

Retention Rate
Gives the percentage of Pima's full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking students in a given starting fall semester who are still enrolled for classes in the following fall semester.

Graduation Rates
Provides graduation rates within 150% of the normal time-to-program completion for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduate students who started in a given fall semester. Also includes transfer rates for the same students within the same time frame.
