Scholarships and Grants

Pima Community College helps students achieve their dreams through scholarships and grants.    

• Raytheon Scholars Program
  The Raytheon Scholars program accepts up to 10 students per year and offers a number of benefits to successful students.  Applications for 2010-11 will be available early in 2010.

• PCC Foundation Scholarships 
  Many scholarships are available through the PCC Foundation.  Some are general scholarships, while others are based on program of study or merit.  While due dates for individual scholarships vary, applications for the majority of the 2010-11 scholarships will be available in Spring 2010.

• PCC Student Grants Program
  The PCC Student Grants Program provides full or partial tuition and fees, and/or a textbook stipend to qualified, selected applicants. 

• Pima Book Scholarships
  Pima Book Scholarships, funded by the Follett Bookstore, are available to help qualified PCC students purchase books and supplies.  The Spring 2010 applications will be available online Dec. 7-11.

• Chancellor's Recognition Scholarship
  The Chancellor's Recognition Scholarship is awarded to well-rounded graduating Pima County high school students who have shown academic competency and made contributions in several aspects of academic and civic life.  2010-11 applications will be available early in 2010.

• Other Scholarships
  Scholarship funds are also available through community groups, organizations, and companies outside of the College. The financial aid office receives information periodically about available scholarships in the community. Check with a campus financial aid office for the latest available information.
  Other sources of information on scholarships and financial aid are available at each campus library and the public libraries. Ask the librarians for assistance in finding these references. Or find online financial aid resources on the web.

NOTE: If you should receive scholarship money from outside the College, you must notify a Pima financial aid office if you receive scholarship funds directly.

NOTE: Every year there are a few scholarship search "scams" that imitate legitimate search companies, foundations, and sponsors. These companies may request money for their services, advertise that they "guarantee" results, or ask for inappropriate personal information such as your bank or Social Security number.  Beware of anyone who requests money for scholarship search services.
