Chancellor's Recognition Scholarship

The Chancellor’s Recognition Scholarship is awarded to well-rounded, graduating Pima County high school students who have shown academic competency and made contributions in several aspects of academic and civic life. The scholarship provides one full year of full-time enrollment at Pima Community College.

The broad evaluation criteria have been developed to allow consideration of non-traditional achievements such as evidence of overcoming obstacles and persisting to achieve an objective, ability to engage and motivate others, and/or strong commitment to community development

Eligibility for Chancellor’s Recognition Scholarship

  • minimum high school GPA of 2.75
  • participation in school or community activities
  • letter of recommendation from a high school counselor or teacher that addresses the student’s potential for college success and leadership. 
How to Apply

Complete an application form and submit the form with all of the required supporting documentation.  Applications for 2010-11 will be available in Spring 2010. A list of the required supporting documentation is provided on the application form.
