Basic EMT Career Information
Those receiving an EMT-Basic Certificate are eligible to take required Arizona and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exams to qualify to work as an emergency medical technician.
With EMT-B certification, a person may work as an emergency medical technician, or pursue Emergency Medical Technology Paramedic (EMT-P) certification or an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Paramedic, all available through the College’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute.
