After the GED Test

How to Get Your Test Results

GED test results are not available by phone, fax or email. Here is how to see your results:

  • Go to the GED testing website and type in the access code you were given after your registration session.
  • If you have lost your access code, come in person to the GED Administration office located at 401 N. Bonita Ave., and bring your photo identification.
  • Your diploma should arrive by mail approximately one to two weeks after your last test is taken and you have passed all five individual subjects with 410 points or higher, and a total score of at least 2250 points.

Retaking the Tests

If you need to take one or more tests again

  • you are required to retake only the individual tests you did not pass.
  • you may retake any test after waiting for 30 days. Provided you have not exceeded the limit, a test may be retaken in any calendar year.
  • you must have taken all five portions of the GED exam before any retest can be scheduled.
  • you may retake a test you have passed in order to raise your total score to 2,250 or higher.
  • you need to call the GED Hotline at 520-206-6GED (6433) to schedule an appointment for retesting.
  • it costs $20 for each subject test you retake. You may pay by cash, check, money order, credit card or debit card at the Community Campus Cashier's Office. You will be given two copies of your receipt, and you will be required to present one copy to the GED testing representative at the time of your scheduled retest.
  • if your retest score is lower, your highest score will be the one counted.
  • you are encouraged to attend a GED preparation class before retesting.

Transcript Requests

Submit a GED Transcript Request Form to the Arizona Department of Education at 1535 W. Jefferson St., Phoenix AZ 85007 or call them at 602-258-2410. Duplicate diplomas are not provided.

GED Graduation Ceremony

PCC Adult Education will contact you in the spring with information about our GED graduation ceremony, which is usually held in June at the Tucson Convention Center Music Hall.
