PCC to honor former athletic director
August 15, 2012
The flag at Pima Community College's West Campus will be flown at half-mast on Thursday in honor of Larry Toledo, who was PCC's first Executive Director of Athletics, from 1973-1997. He died on Saturday in an automobile accident.
"Larry treated everybody like family. He promoted education through sports and always tried to make sure people had opportunities, especially for those who didn't have college as an option," Ben Carbajal, an athletic trainer at Pima, said in a press release issued by PCC.
