PCC Music Presents Jazz Ensemble Concert

- Where: PCC Center for the Arts Proscenium Theatre, West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road, just west of downtown and Interstate 10 on St. Mary's Road, which turns into Anklam Road.

Tucson, AZ -- Pima Community College Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Mike Kuhn, features an 18-piece big band performing jazz favorites from all eras.
The concert spotlights soloists in improvisational roles with vocals by Rachel Ezonnaebi and some arrangements by lead trombonist Roger Wallace. Program selections include “Tiger of San Pedro” by John LaBarbera, “Harlem Nocturne” by Earle Hagen, “Filthy McNasty” by Horace Silver, and “Birks Works by Dizzy Gillespie.
In addition to instructing jazz ensemble, jazz improvisation, and popular music in America at PCC, Kuhn plays the jazz saxophone in venues throughout greater Tucson.
