PCC Fall 2012 Registration Under Way

August 13, 2012

Tucson, AZ – Registration for the Fall 2012 semester is in full swing at Pima Community College as students, faculty and staff prepare for the start of classes on Aug. 22.

The credit and non-credit course options this semester – like all semesters at PCC – are extensive. They include 1,277 different classes in 76 programs.

“From accounting and anthropology to welding and writing, there is no shortage of possibilities for anyone interested in furthering their education at Pima Community College,” said Provost Dr. Jerry Migler. “And with our convenient class schedule, affordable tuition and six campuses throughout metropolitan Tucson, our goal is to make learning as accessible as possible.”

At the forefront of that community-wide learning effort, Migler noted, is the College’s talented pool of more than 350 full-time faculty and nearly 1,500 adjunct faculty.

“Our instructors are among the best in the business,” he said. “Their dedication to teaching is one of the main reasons Pima has such an outstanding reputation in Arizona and across the country.”

This semester, five new courses are being offered:

  • Computer Information Systems (CIS) 289T9: Intermediate C
  • Fashion Design/Clothing (FDC) 242: Draping II
  • Fitness and Sports Sciences (FSS) 291): Fitness and Sports Sciences Internship
  • History (HIS) 240: Medieval History
  • Student Success (STU) 135: Stress Management

PCC offers university transfer and occupational education programs in classes offered in the evening, on weekends, year-round, in traditional classroom settings, online, in web-classroom hybrids, and in semester-long or accelerated formats.
