PCC’s Downtown Campus Gets New Dean

Tucson, AZ – Dr. Nicola C. Richmond, Executive Director of Planning and Institutional Research at Pima Community College, has been named Dean of Business, Occupational and Professional Programs at PCC’s Downtown Campus.
Dr. Richmond has worked at PCC since January 2008. She became head of Planning and Institutional Research in November 2008, leading a team supplying data and analysis about PCC in support of planning, student success, grant-writing and other functions.
“Nic brings a wealth of experience to the campus, and we look forward to her joining our administrative team,” said Dr. Luba Chliwniak, President of Downtown Campus. Dr. Richmond will begin working at Downtown on Aug. 6.
Dr. Richmond has a doctorate in Geophysics from University College London and a bachelor’s of science degree in Geophysics from the University of Southampton in England.
Downtown Campus Dean Nancy Russell last month was named dean of instruction at Metropolitan Community College-Longview in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
