PCC Graduates 44 from EMT-Paramedic Program June 27

Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute is holding a graduation ceremony today for students who have completed its EMT-Paramedic Training program.
Forty-four graduates will participate in the ceremony, which begins at 6 p.m. at the College’s West Campus.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for paramedics and emergency medical technicians is expected to increase nine percent from through 2018. Most of PCC’s latest graduates already are employed with local fire or EMS agencies.
Pima Community College’s Paramedic Program is the first Paramedic Program within the state of Arizona to receive accreditation from the nationally recognized Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
PCC offers a Basic EMT Certificate and a Paramedic Associate of Applied Science degree. Graduates are prepared to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic exams and the Arizona Department of Health Services exams.
