PCC to Host ‘Project Hoodie’ June 14; Rep. Grijalva to Speak at NAACP-Sponsored Event

Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College will host “Project Hoodie: A Tucson Conversation on Race” next week at its Downtown Campus.
The event, sponsored by the local chapter of the NAACP, is an opportunity for the community to engage in a constructive discussion about issues raised by the shooting of Trayvon Martin in Florida earlier this year.
The public is invited to attend the event and participate in a dialogue guided by facilitator-led questions.
Seating for “Project Hoodie” is limited. There are no RSVPs. Doors open at 8 a.m.
U.S. Rep. Raúl Grijalva will provide opening remarks at the event, which will be moderated by Maria Moore, program director of African-American Student Affairs at the University of Arizona

- When: Thursday, June 14; doors open at 8 a.m.; conversations take place 9 a.m.-noon. Conversations will be facilitated by the Center for Community Dialogue.
