PCC Desert Vista Campus Celebrates Campus Garden for Earth Day

Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College’s Desert Vista Campus is having a belated Earth Day celebration on Thursday, April 26, 2012, with special events at its Community Garden.
The event, 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., will be at the campus Community Garden, east of the Plaza Building at Desert Vista Campus, 5901 S. Calle Santa Cruz. Students and instructors in the Culinary Arts degree program and the Center for Training and Development’s Culinary and Food Industry Training programs will do demonstrations and offer samples. In addition, presentations on xeriscaping and water harvesting will be given.
